Müssen Sie Ihren Barcodeleser mit der Steuerung verbinden? 

Barcodeleser sind wesentliche Bestandteile innerhalb der Lagerhaltung. Verfolgung der Produkte innerhalb Ihres Warenwirtschaftssystems ist nicht nur wegen der Rechenschaftspflicht und Sicherheit essenziell: es ist ebenfalls hilfreich um zu sehen wie schnell Ihr Endprodukt prozesiert wird und Ihr Lagerbestand sich verhält. Dies könnte zu einer höheren Produktivität führen, bei der weniger Abfälle entstehen. 

Idealerweise würden diese Informationen voll automatisch in eine Steuerungsumgebung implementiert werden. Leider geht das nicht so einfach und ist mit ein wenig Aufwand verbunden, da die Wahrscheinlichkeit hoch ist, dass Ihre Barcodeleser ein anderes Protokoll als Ihr Steuerelement unterstützt. Viele Barcodeleser kommunizieren via Modbus® -  während EtherNet/IP™ bei den Steuerungselementen an Popularität gewann.

Mit einem Gateway, der Modbus und EtherNet/IP verbindet, kann der Anwender sicherstellen, dass die Daten der Barcodeleser den Weg zur Steuerung schaffen.
