The 'C' Programmable Network Interface Module with Ethernet allows user-developed 'C' applications to operate over Ethernet on the Quantum platform. This is the ideal module to speed up custom ASCII data communications or to protect a proprietary algorithm. Applications using the ADM module include: Bar Code Scanner interface, legacy ASCII protocol connections, Terminal Port Emulation, Printer Driver, and customized serial communications.
The PTQ-ADMNET module acts as an input/output module between the Ethernet Explicit Messaging network, and the Quantum backplane. Data transfer from the Quantum processor is asynchronous from the actions on the Ethernet network. A 4000-word register space in the module exchanges data between the processor and the Ethernet network.
