      FA Control Network Enhanced Communication Module

      MVI56E-FLN

      The MVI56E-FLN FA Control Network Enhanced communication module is a single-slot solution that allows ControlLogix-compatible processors to easily interface with other FL-net protocol devices. The module is certified for use with FL-net version 2.00 (OPCN-2) for the standard FA control network, as defined by JEMA (The Japan Electrical Manufacturers Association).

      The MVI56E-FLN module acts as a gateway between the FL-net network and the ControlLogix backplane. The data transfer from the ControlLogix processor is asynchronous from the actions on the FL-net network.

      The MVI56E-FLN module accepts commands to control and monitor the data stored in its databases. This data is passed between the module and the ControlLogix processor over the backplane for automation and control applications.

      RSLogix 5000 Integrated

      • Module configuration and communication is integrated within RSLogix 5000
      • No additional programming or configuration software is required

      Personality Module

      • Incorporates a non-volatile Compact Flash memory for storing the module's setup and network configuration data (or personality).
      • Allows restoring of a module by simply exchanging the Personality Module (for disaster recovery), without the need to use a PC or re-configure.

      Ethernet Port with Built-in Web Server

      • Module Ethernet port provides a built-in web server for access to module status and to update the module firmware.
      • Local and remote diagnostics access available through the Ethernet port

      • Configurable Minimum Frame Interval Time (0 to 50 with each unit being equal to 100 Ms)
      • Configurable Token Watchdog Time (1 Ms to 255 Ms)
