Power-generation company achieves real-time video monitoring with wireless radios

A power-generation company needed to reliably monitor the loading and unloading of coal-carrying vessels in China. One option they considered was a wired setup, but that solution could have proved costly.

The company opted for ProSoft Technology’s Industrial Hotspots, wireless solutions that could send the video from each vessel back to the control room, seamlessly transferred to the end user’s Rockwell Automation® controller.

The company has now achieved real-time monitoring of the ships’ loading and unloading.
