Zuverlässige Kommuniation für die Fördertechnik in Italien

Ein Endkunde für die Logistik in Italien hat seine betrieblichen Prozesse verbessert indem er EtherNet/IP™ als Protokollstandard über das 40-Meter lange Förderband installierte. Die Applikation beinhaltete zwei Förderbänder und zwei Bestückungsmaschinen – somit war eine exakte Kommunikation wesentlich.

Die verhergehende Lösung waren Schleifringe mit serieller Kommunikation – eine zuverlässigere Alternative wurde gesucht. Es wurde sich für fünf drahtlose Industrial Hotspots von ProSoft Technology gemeinsam mit Leckwellenleiter entschieden.

Die Industrial Hotspots sind das Verbindungsstück zwischen dem Förderband und der CompactLogix™ von Rockwell Automation®. Der Endkunde hat seither keine Ausfälle mehr beobachten können. Zusätzlich können nun mit Hilfe der neuen Kommunikation Diagnosedaten ausgelesen werden.
