Jedoch ohne eine Industrielle Wireless Lösung, die z.B. Fahrerlose Transportsysteme (FTS) und anderes Equipment verbindet, sind trotzdem eininge Vorteile nicht realisierbar.

Wenn Sie ein Wireless Kommunikationsnetzwerk für Ihre Applikationen im Material Handling Bereich planen, sollte man die Herausforderungen und den Grundriss der Einrichtung bedenken. Egal für welches bewegende Equipment, Industrielle Funkmodule sind immer eine gute Option. Diese können an fixen Punkten innerhalb der Einrichtung plaziert warden um die Bewegung von FTS zu verfolgen. Funkmodule mit einer schnellen Umschaltzeit von einem zum anderen Access Point sind bestens geeignet für jegliche bewegende Applikation; idealerweise ist diese Zeit unter 10 Millisekunden. Zusätzlich zur Nachverfolgung von FTS bringt dieses sog. “Ultra-Fast Roaming” einen wesentlichen Vorteil bei Applikationen für Regalbediengeräte und jeglicher Fördertechnik in der Automobilbranche.

Um Interferenzen so gering wie möglich zu halten, kann man die Funkmodule auch mit einem sog. “Leaky-Feeder” Kabel verbinden. Dieses Kabel hilft Signale zu isolieren und stellt  durch sein flexibles Design eine weitere Alternative zur normalen Antenne dar.
